How to Deal with YouTube Removing Subscribers

YouTube removing subscribers isn’t very fun because your number of subs goes down.

Sometimes a little bit, other times its quite substantial.

I’m going to let you know the perspective that you can take, if you feel to do so.

I’ve seen quite a few people talk about their disappointment that their subscribers dropped again.

It’s OK Quality Went Up!

Blaming YouTube with anger and frustration.

The thing is you shouldn’t be frustrated, you should be happy that your subscriber just went down.

Why you Should be Happy with YouTube Removing Subscribers

Remember this, YouTube isn’t going to remove me from your Subscribers.

What I mean by this, YouTube isn’t removing people who are using the platform properly and are enjoying your content.

They are removing, inactive accounts, bots and fraudulent accounts.  Things that you shouldn’t want following you in the first place.  These accounts aren’t watching your channel, their not hitting the like button, their not getting tingles.

You could be having this thinking when YouTube does this.  The Quality of my channel just went up, the dead weight was removed.  I know it’s not fun and its super disheartening to go from 10,000 down to 9,820 followers.  Especially after you hit a significant milestone, that you celebrated and were so proud of.

Don’t let this diminish your achievement, your quality went up.

But there is a really good reason why you should be happy about this.

It Punishes Those Trying to Beat the System

While you lose a relatively small percentage of the followers, like in the example above.  They went down 1.8% in Followers.

Now what if you see a channel lose 40% of followers after the purge.

There is many people who pay for fake followers and bots to boost their channel.  They get truly punished by this and its a good thing.  They are not all guilty, someone might be just trying to help them out with or without their notice.

But if someone is buying fake followers and they lose them, I think that is a positive.

Don’t worry about the number so much, I know its not easy, I know many struggle with mental health.

I know the feeling everyday when I check how many has visited this website, when it goes down I feel it.

You and your channel is so much more than the number of Subscribers.  Whether you have 10 Subs or 10 Million, you as a person trying to help others out matters most.

I hope you have a great day.
