How to Protect Your Asmr Channel From Scams and Hackers

How to Protect Your Asmr Channel is pretty sad that we need to even worry about this, but you do.

After taking a couple months off due to health issues, I’m still not at my best, but I’m trying so please bare with me.

I’ve read some troubling stories about some channels being hacked, losing complete control and then waiting for a long time for YouTube to help you.

The thing is YouTube will never have the staff required, you have literally no idea how many channels are on YouTube, because they filter them out.  YouTube will help you to the best of their ability but it will take time, the sheer volume of requests.

Don’t blame YouTube for the length of time it takes to get your channel back.  Why?  There are people trying to steal your channel, the same way you are trying to get your channel back.  Anyone can try claim your channel in theory, so with 100,000’s of these every day it’s not easy for any site to deal with this.

With that being said there are ways to make sure you are as safe as anyone can possibly be.

How to Secure Your Asmr Channel

#1.  2 FA Authentication

This secures your YouTube Channel because to log in you literally need to have your phone and your login information to get access.  So you eliminate anyone who isn’t in your area from ever having a chance at your account, since you have your phone.

If you don’t know what 2 FA is, it’s basically you need a password and then another password from your phone to login.  The password always changes on your phone, so you need to check for the new password every time.

Read more on 2 FA if you are still confused.

Video I found that may be of use.

#2.  Have a unique and extremely tough password that is just for your channel.

Don’t use your common password for your channel, because if another site has a data breach, then they have your YouTube password.

Very simple and cliche things I know, but they are important.

#3.  Have a separate business email address, for inquiries etc.

Make sure access to this email address has a different password than your YouTube Channel.  (Critical)

It’s quite simple if you have an unrelated email that you only use for channel inquiries, that has no link to your actual channel.  Nothing can really hurt you if they gain access to this email.

Make sure to have 2 FA Authentication for this email as well.

#4.  Do you have an old smart phone?

You can use an old smart phone to use a program like Google Authenticator for 2 FA Security for only your YouTube Channel.  Don’t tell anyone that you use this, this protects you even further because now if someone close to you tried to steal your phone and hack you, they’d have the wrong phone to authenticate.

Who Should Be Most Concerned

The more followers, the more concerned, it’s a numbers game.

If you are having issues with persistent people typing mean things in the comments.

I personally think you are being disrespectful to your channel if you have 50,000 Followers or more and don’t have 2 FA Authentication on.

There is no excuse for it, everyone ask yourself this question.

Would it hurt you, if your channel was hacked today? If the answer is yes than use these steps to protect yourself.

These Scams Even Hurt Me Personally

Think about it, I just create pages, trying to help and promote Asmr artists.

With so many scams going on right now, whose going to trust me that hasn’t trusted me already.

It’s not a good feeling.

Stay safe and thanks for reading.
